FAQs
Q: We work really hard at controlling these costs internally, why do we even need to have an audit performed?
A: Please see our page, “Why an Audit” for a more complete answer, but the short answer is that there is overwhelming evidence that despite your own efforts there are errors and opportunities that are usually missed during internal reviews. If not then there is no cost to you.

Q: What kinds of errors do you typically find?
A:
  • Breakdown between Procurement and Payables
  • Non-competitive purchasing practices
  • Outdated price plans
  • Paying for services that are no longer in use
  • Service optimization
  • Services disconnected and billing never stopped
  • Technology updates
  • Account mismanagement
  • Unclaimed credits/discounts
  • Fraud

Q: Do we have to implement your recommendations?
A: No our recommendations are simply that, recommendations, and do not have to implemented.

Q: How long does an audit take?
A: The length depends on several variables including the number of vendors, the amount of monthly spend and the number of billing errors we find. Audits can be completed in as little as a few days and they can also last for several months; regardless of how long the engagement takes your staff time and involvement will not be required and you will be kept appraised of the status of all open items and be given updated project completion forecasts.

Q: How long will your staff be on site?
A: Our audits are individually planned and supervised to ensure minimal disruption to your staff. The majority of our audits are performed off site. Most of the assistance needed is at the front end while we obtain the necessary data and gain an understanding of your systems and procedures.

Q: Do we have to change service providers?
A: No, cost reduction is generated with your chosen vendors

Q: How much can we expect to save?
A: This also depends on several factors including which service you choose to use, how recently (if ever) that area has been previously reviewed and what internal cost reduction efforts have been in place. It is not at all unusual for clients to reduce their monthly expenses by 20-30% and to experience refunds in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Q: How much is this going to cost us?
A: PAG gets paid on results. We get paid a percentage of actual recoveries and or savings so there is no net cost to you
